Smart Links

What is a Smart Link?

A Smart Link is a single URL that detects which streaming service your listener uses and sends them there. Instead of sharing separate links for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and a dozen others, you share one link that works for everyone.

Add it to your Instagram bio, drop it in a tweet, paste it in a press kit. Listeners click, pick their platform, and they're listening.

Types of Smart Links

NotNoise offers three types of links depending on where you are in your release cycle.

Release Link

For music that's already live on streaming platforms. Pick a release from your catalog and NotNoise generates the link instantly. Platforms are auto-detected from Spotify and matched across services.

Available on: Free, Pro, Max, Team

Pre-Release Link

For upcoming releases. Capture fan emails before your track drops, then notify them on release day. Fans can pre-save to Spotify directly from the page.

Available on: Pro, Max, Team

Playlist Link

For curated playlists. Share your Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube playlists with a single link that routes listeners to the right platform.

Creating a Smart Link

It takes about 30 seconds.

1. Go to Smart Links in the sidebar
2. Click New Link
3. Choose your link type: Release, Pre-Release, or Playlist
4. Select a release from your catalog (pulled from Spotify automatically)
5. Done. Your link is live.

After creation, you'll see your Smart Link URL and can immediately share it or customize it further.

Customizing your Smart Link

Click Customize after creating a link, or click any existing link to edit it.

Title and Artist

The title and artist name are pulled from your release metadata. You can edit both if needed.

Custom URL slug

Your link gets a default slug like notnoise.co/link/artist-name-track-title. You can change the slug to anything you want.

Custom domains are available on Pro plans and above. Connect your own domain in Settings > Domains so your links show as yourdomain.com/track-name.

Platforms

NotNoise auto-detects platforms where your release is available. You can:

• Reorder platforms by dragging them. The first platform is shown most prominently.
• Remove platforms you don't want to show.
• Add platforms manually if one wasn't auto-detected.

Supported platforms include: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, SoundCloud, Pandora, KKBOX, JOOX, Audiomack, Anghami, Boomplay, Napster, iHeartRadio, and more.

Audio Preview

Enable a 30-second audio preview that plays when someone lands on your Smart Link page. The preview is pulled from Spotify.

Design

Customize the appearance of your Smart Link landing page: background color or gradient, button style, and layout options.

Email Capture

Turn on email capture to collect fan emails directly from your Smart Link page. Fans enter their email before or after choosing a platform.

Collected emails appear in the Subscribers tab on your Smart Links page.

Tracking Pixels

Add your Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Analytics tag to track conversions from ad campaigns. Paste your pixel ID and it's active immediately.

Link Analytics

Every Smart Link tracks:

• Total clicks and unique visitors
• Clicks by platform (which services your audience prefers)
• Clicks by country (where your listeners are)
• Clicks over time (daily trend)

Access analytics by clicking any link in your Smart Links list.

Subscribers

Switch to the Subscribers tab on the Smart Links page to see all emails captured across your links. You can export the list as CSV for use in your own email tools.

Tips

• Put your Smart Link in your Instagram/TikTok bio. It's the highest-traffic link real estate most artists have.
• Create a new link for every release. Each link tracks independently, so you can compare performance across releases.
• Enable email capture on your best-performing link. If one link gets consistent traffic, turn on email capture to build your fan list.
• Use Pre-Release Links to build anticipation. Share the link 1-2 weeks before release day to capture pre-saves and emails.
• Add your tracking pixel if you run ads. Smart Links with pixels let you retarget visitors who clicked but didn't stream.
