Customizing your link
Edit your Smart Link appearance, platforms, audio preview, design, and more.

The editor layout
The editor has two sides:
- Left side: All your editing options, organized in collapsible sections.
- Right side: A live preview that updates as you make changes. Toggle between Desktop and Mobile views to check both.
Changes are saved when you click Save Changes at the top. Nothing is published until you save.
Title and artist
The title and artist name are pulled from your release metadata when you create the link. You can edit both. Changes appear on the public link page and in social card previews when the link is shared.
URL slug
Your link gets a default slug like notnoise.co/link/artist-name-track-title. You can change the slug to anything you want. Shorter is better for sharing.
Custom domains
Custom domains let you use your own domain instead of notnoise.co (e.g., links.yourname.com/new-single). See Custom domains for setup instructions.
Available on Max and Team plans.
Artwork
Click Change on the artwork to upload a custom image. The artwork appears on the link page, in social card previews (when shared on Instagram, Twitter, iMessage), and as the background for the audio preview player.
If you connected Spotify, artwork is pulled automatically from your release. You can always replace it with a custom image.
Available on all plans.
Platforms
NotNoise auto-detects platforms where your release is available. The Platforms section shows all detected platforms with their links.
You can:
- Reorder platforms by dragging them. The first platform appears at the top of the list on your public page. Put your most important platform first (usually Spotify).
- Remove platforms you don't want to show. Click the X next to any platform.
- Add platforms manually. Click Add platform, choose the streaming service, and paste the URL. Useful when a platform wasn't auto-detected or your release is available somewhere NotNoise doesn't check automatically.
The platform count shows how many are enabled out of 20 available (e.g., "5 of 20 enabled").
Audio preview
Toggle this on to play a 30-second audio clip when someone visits your link page. The clip is pulled from Spotify. If your release isn't on Spotify, audio preview is not available.
Pro, Max, and Team plans get high-quality audio preview. Free plans get standard quality.
Design
Customize the visual appearance of your link page:
- Background color or gradient
- Button style and colors
- Layout options
Toggle between Desktop and Mobile in the preview to check how your design looks on both. Most of your traffic will come from mobile (Instagram bio, Stories links), so prioritize how it looks on a phone.
Theme selection is available on Pro, Max, and Team plans.
Email capture
Toggle email capture on to add an email field to your link page. Fans enter their email before or after choosing a streaming platform. Collected emails appear in the Subscribers tab on your Smart Links page.
See Email capture for details on managing subscribers and exporting data.
Available on Pro, Max, and Team plans.
Tracking pixels
Add your Meta (Facebook) Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or Google Analytics tag to track conversions from ad campaigns. Paste your pixel ID and it fires immediately for all visitors.
See Tracking pixels for setup details and use cases.
Available on Max and Team plans.
Tips
- Check the mobile preview. Most clicks come from mobile devices. If your link looks great on desktop but cramped on mobile, fix the mobile version first.
- Keep the slug short. notnoise.co/link/new-single is easier to share than notnoise.co/link/artist-name-track-title-deluxe-edition.
- Put Spotify first unless you have a specific reason not to. Spotify is the most-used platform for most indie artists globally.
- Save before closing. Changes are not auto-saved. Click Save Changes before navigating away.
